I…..AM…..LIVID!
I, Cerberus, the mightiest puppy in the universe, am capable of handling many problems easy, but this one is a real doozy. Hence this missive.
My chronicler, David Perlmutter, has suffered an underhanded reversal in his fortunes at the hands of a certain giant online commerce retail, whose DIY/POD services he has been using for nearly the start of his career.
However, his account was TERMINATED today, for reasons largely unexplained, save for an unsympathetic e-mail.
That bald-headed man who runs that joint is infuriating! Doesn’t he make enough off the backs of the proletarian artist as it is?
My first instinct was to destroy as much of the company’s infrastructure as I could find- but he talked me out of that. Namely, by saying that the forthcoming volume of my memoirs which he intends to collaborate on with me would absolutely not be able to be published should I suddenly abandon my superhero duties and resolve to turn global criminal.
“Oh,” I said. “No, that’s not good. But don’t you have any other outlets to sell your books and junk? Raise money somewhere?”
“Yes,” he answered. “But I need you to tell them about them all.”
“Why?”
“They’ll actually listen to you. When you guest-write on my Substack, it actually gets read. You’re a very persuasive speaker- more so than I am.”
Fair enough.
Okay- first things first. “Made From What’s Not Real” has three subscription levels-
Monthly: $12.00
Annual: $120.00
Founder: $300.00
He has eight monthly subscribers, but we can bring those numbers up, can’t we?
There isn’t a lot of difference between what’s offered, because he never paywalls anything. But what you do get is first come, first serve access to the fiction and essays here, such as my adventures:
Or perhaps what I get up to with my superhero gal pals:
Game Night
MUSCLE GIRL:Made From What's Not Real is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
Or non-me stuff, like this essay:
Lost In A Forest
Living with Asperger's Syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder) has particular rewards and difficulties.
Plus, until the end of the year, David has discounted the price of his ebooks to the unbelievably low price of 99 cents. Available at all dealers save for the obvious.

Okay, I guess that’s it. Just the seemingly mandatory buttons:
Was this an account using a company named after a sprawling forest somewhere in the southern hemisphere?
Perhaps we need to seek solutions other than those offered by Baldy. :)
Selling direct and crowdfunding are just two of them. Note that I didn't say they were easy solutions. :)
