I read this to our dog Ted and he nodded along. Either that or he needs to go out.

I love this story.

And as far as "You brought them home without reading the instruction manual first" goes, the same is true of cats.

Cerberus maybe needs a profile of his own. Very convincing facial features. Thanks for sharing this, David-

Full agree Dave. This make me remember my last pup Choco. My wife and I were her 4th home when we adopted her at less than a year old. Choco was with my wife and I for the next 11 years. I liked to joke that our pup was the best Korean-born American Cocker Spaniel living in Canada. RIP Choco - see you one day at the Raindow Bridge.

so true. great post.

PS People oftentimes think I'm dumb just because I don't talk when I suppossedly should or look at them in a way-that-a dog-might-look-while-I-think, like I'm-to-decipher-more yet, or something. They say sometimes understandingly "she doesn't speak" and continue to talk about me like I'm not there-and I'm a human not even shaped like a dog

Ha ha. Both humorous and disturbing. Sadly, there are people who don't grok the fullness of puppiness. I love your illustrations.

I just love this, David and agree with every word. One of my favorites from you. Thank you for sharing what many people should understand but unfortunately, do not. Because they're assholes.
